<\/span>Nonstick cooking spray
\n2\t<\/span>packages (8 ounces each) baby bella mushrooms, finely chopped
\n1\t<\/span>teaspoon 40% less-sodium taco seasoning
\n1\/4 <\/span>teaspoon ground black pepper
\n1-1\/2 <\/span>cups sliced Vidalia onion
\n1\/4 <\/span>cup sliced jalape\u00f1o peppers
\n3\/4 <\/span>pound 93% lean ground beef
\n8\t<\/span>slices whole wheat bread
\n4\t<\/span>slices Muenster cheese
\n1\/2 <\/span>cup black bean and corn salsa
\n1\t<\/span>avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1.<\/span>Prepare outdoor grill for direct grilling over medium heat. Spray large skillet with cooking spray; heat 1 minute over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, taco seasoning and black pepper; cook 10 minutes or until very tender, golden brown and all liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

2.<\/span>Spray second large skillet with cooking spray; heat 1 minute over medium heat. Add onion and jalape\u00f1o peppers; cook 8 minutes or until very tender and golden brown, stirring occasionally.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

3.<\/span>In large bowl, thoroughly mix ground beef and mushroom mixture; form into 4 (\u00bd-inch-thick) patties. Make shallow indentation in center of each patty.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

4.<\/span>Spray both sides of patties with cooking spray; place on hot grill rack, cover and cook 8 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160\u00b0, turning once. About 4 minutes before burgers are done, grill bread until grill marks appear, turning once. About 2 minutes before burgers are done, top burgers with cheese.<\/p>\n

5.<\/span>Serve burgers on bread topped with onion-pepper mixture, salsa and avocado.
